Job Title: Operating Room Nurse

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our private hospital chain with multiple locations across the UK. As an Operating Room Nurse, you will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures, ensuring the operating room is properly prepared, and providing high-quality patient care. Your primary duties will include assessing patients before surgery, maintaining a sterile environment, assisting surgeons during procedures, monitoring patient vital signs, and evaluating postoperative patients. Your exceptional organizational and communication skills, along with your ability to work as part of a team, will contribute to the continuity of care for our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient’s condition before surgery
• Ensure that the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment
• Keep the operating room sterilized
• Position the patient on operating table
• Pass medical instruments to the surgeons during operation
• Monitor patient’s vital signs
• Evaluate postoperative patients
• Reviews charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards
• Communicate with patients, teammates, and physicians to ensure continuity of care

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Previous working experience as an Operating Room Nurse for at least 1 year.
• BSc or diploma in nursing.
• In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures.
• Outstanding patient management skills, with a compassionate and friendly personality.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Updated CV with postal address.
• NMC screenshot (if registered).
• CBT letter (if cleared).
• Nursing council registration.
• Valid passport.
